•Risk of Alzheimer’s disease may be lowered by a higher intake of folate, found in green vegetables and vitamin B, says a study published in the journal Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Some experts theorize that folate cuts blood levels of homocysteine, an amino acid that is linked to heart disease, stoke and Alzheimer’s.
