Ethnic Chinese Have the Highest Rate of Colon Cancer

• Among Asians, ethnic Chinese had the highest rate of colon cancer, says the International Agency for Research on Cancer. They analyzed health stats in 14 Asian cities. Ethnic Indians had the lowest rates of colorectal polyps and cancers, followed by Filipinos and Thaïs. Chinese people in Hong Kong had the highest rate among all Chinese, a trend that researchers blamed on a more westernized diet and genetic make-up.
