Anger Increases Risk of Injuries Researchers who studied more than 2,000 patients treated in an emergency room for broken bones, cuts and other traumas found bouts of anger appeared to boost the risk of injury. The study asked the injured to articulate their feelings just before the incident. For men, being “extremely” angry raised the risk of injury more than sevenfold, with the incidence shrinking for women.
