Regular black-tea drinkers are 47% better able to control their stress than those who do not drink tea, according to the University College of London. In a study, 75 male tea drinkers were split into two groups and subjected to stressful situations. One group got tea; the other a tea substitute. Those who drank tea 4 times a day for 6 weeks saw a decline in their stress hormones, or cortisol levels.
