African American Women are Less Likely to Get Breast Cancer
African American women are less likely to get breast cancer than Hispanic and Caucasian women, but more likely to die from it. A University of Texas study found that African American women had a survival rate of 52%, while Hispanics and Caucasians had a 62% chance of dieing from breast cancer.African American women were also more likely to have larger tumors that are harder to treat.
