Cat diabetes is on the rise and veterinarians are asking owners to watch their feline’s waistline. A U.K. study found that 1 in 230 cats are now diabetic, which is five times what it was in the 1970s. The risk tripled when the household pet was obese, and neutered male cats were most likely to be lazy, fat cats.
