Breast Cancer Risk Increased from Alcohol

Alcohol increases the risk of breast cancer in women, according to a team of American researchers.  The researchers emphasized that the type of alcohol doesn’t matter, but the amount does.  Women who had more than 3 drinks a day raise their risk by 30%.  In a 2002 study, 4% of breast cancer cases in the U.K. were due to alcohol.
