Deaths from heart disease and stroke are failing, but the two still remain the top health risks, says the American Heart Association. The group predicts 770,000 people will have a stroke in ’08, down from 911,163 in ’03. Poor diets continue to elevate the risk of heart disease or stroke, the AHA says. Only 21.4% of boys in high school and 18.7% of girls reported eating the recommended 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day.
