Arsenic in Water Damages DNA
Arsenic in water can indirectly lead to cancer hampering the body’s ability to repair its DNA damaged by other carcinogens. Dartmouth and University of Arizona researchers say people who use untested well water as their primary water source are at a higher risk of arsenic effects. Arsenic levels in well water are high in the rural areas of the U.S.
