Child Depression Tied to Adult Ills Kids who suffer from depression may suffer medical aftershocks in adulthood, specifically asthma and obesity, says a new 20-year study conducted by the University of Zurich. Men who were depressed as children tend to have higher rates of asthma, while women in the study who were depressed are more likely to be obese adults.
