Early Onset Morbid Obesity
Early onset morbid obesity has been linked to lower IQ scores, adding to a list of problems including diabetes and high cholesterol. A University of Florida found that morbidly obese toddlers – those weighing 150% of their ideal body weight – had and average IQ of 78 compared to normal-weight kids, who scored an average IQ of 106.
