Diabetes a Serious Pregnancy Risk
Women with type one and type two diabetes are more vulnerable to high-risk pregnancies and infant deaths, the British Medical Journal reported. The infant mortality rate for mothers with both types of diabetes were four times more higher then for the general population, while the risk of babies having heart and nervous system defects was more than twice as great compared with normal women.
