Marjoram (Leaf Oil)
Plant profile: Marjoram essential oil is the species otherwise known as “French marjoram,” and not Spanish marjoram, which is a type of thyme. French marjoram has been a favorite herb for cooking and has widely for centuries. Marjoram is low growing, with small aromatic leaves and tiny white flower that appear in summer. Marjoram is originally from Mediterranean regions; marjoram will grow well in more northerly climates if kept sheltered and in a sunny spot.
Fragrance profile: Marjoram essential oil is a warm, woody aroma that somewhat resembles camphor, gradually becoming sweet and soft.
Main Uses: Marjoram essential oil helps muscular aches, pains, stuffiness, and strains; eases menstrual cramps and mood swings; helps migraine, headaches, and nervous tension.
