May Chang (Berry and Seed Oil) Litsea Cubeba
Plant profile: May chang is a tree from China with delicate leaves and little whitish-yellow flowers that become highly lemon-scented tiny fruits. The oils from the berries of the may chang tree is used a great deal in China as a mood enhancer and as a tonic to the heart; it calms and regulates the heart rhythm when used in massage. It is similar to lemongrass, but has a much lighter and sweeter fragrance.
Safety Information: Avoid using may chang on sensitive or damaged skin. May chang is not suitable for babies or children. Always dilute may chang, even if you are using it in the bath.
Fragrance profile: May chang is soft, sweet, and fruity with a strong “lemon sherbet” aroma that is zesty and mouthwatering.
