Neroli (orange blossom) Essential Oil (Flower Oil)
Plant profile: The essential oil from orange blossom is named after princess Neroli, an Italian noble woman of the Renaissance period who perfumed her gloves with Neroli flowers. The neroli essential oil has an enchanting aroma, and is costly and labor – insensitive to produce, as the fragrant white flowers of the bitter orange tree have to be picked by hand. Neroli essential oil is mostly distilled in France and Morocco. Look out for pure neroli diluted in jojoba from quality essential oil ranges, as this is a more affordable way of trying this fragrance.
Fragrance profile: Neroli (orange blossom) essential oils are creamy – sweet, citrusy, rich, and soft with green undertones.
Main Uses: Neroli essential oils tone and rejuvenate the complexion, especially dry, mature, or undernourished skins; helps scar tissue, wound, and cuts; ease nervous indigestion and irritable bowel symptoms; helps calm panic, shock, and sudden emotional upsets.
Safety information: no issues with neroli essential oils.
