Atlas Cedarwood (Wood Oil)

These tall, majestic cedar trees come from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Atlas cedarwood stand over one hundred feet (30 meters) in height with a sweeping, tent-like appearance, and a wonderful aroma floats around them thanks to the essential oil in the red heartwood. Cedar was used extensively by the ancient Egyptians in the manufacture of furniture and ships because of the wood’s resistance to insects – as well as its beauty.
