Lime (Fruit Oil) Citrus Aurantifolia
Plant profile: Lime is an evergreen citrus tree; this is thorny with aromatic leaves and small white flowers, which turn into the fruits. Limes are about half the size of lemons and are a rich green in color. Limes are an excellent source of vitamin C and are wildly used in cookery recipes from the West Indies. The oil is expressed from the peel. The main centers of production are Florida, Cuba, and Central America.
Safety Information: Lime is moderately phototoxic; you should avoid exposing the skin to strong sunlight or a sunbed for at least twelve hours after application.
