Unwanted Drugs generate Power
Expired or recalled medications are being turned into electric power. Milwaukee-based Capital Returns collected 6.5 million pounds of unwanted pills and drugs from pharmacies and had the incinerated to create to create enough energy to power more than 220 homes for a year. Also, the State of Washington has a program that lets people return their unwanted drugs anonymously to pharmacies. They are eventually incinerated and turned into energy.
